The Vault – Vintage Turquoise hand curated collection
Turquoise is a timeless gemstone that ages beautifully in its style. We love this gemstone so much that over the last few years on our buying trips we have had the pleasure of hand selecting up cycled vintage pieces to curate one bomb collection. Introducing The Vault – Vintage Turquoise pieces from the 1920s – 1970s, an amazing vibe that will go with any outfit.
That’s what’s so great about turquoise, it’s just so versatile and the perfect finishing touch to any outfit.
Turquoise is one of the oldest stones treasured by mankind and is known as a sacred stone that brings power, luck, and protection. This stone displays brilliant colours of solid blue/green hues and with natural magical webbing formations.
Turquoise can be incorporated in many forms of jewellery and accessories and is very common today in our modern fashion.
Our Turquoise stones are vintage, which, means that the stones in each piece of jewellery are generally 50- 100 years old.
Alright, I like what I’m reading, but I still need a few ideas on how to wear something Vintage?
Lets get the ideas flowing shall we?!
But I’m not good at styling myself. I don’t even match my socks.
Not to worry, you can easily pair turquoise with anything really. Whether you are in the mood for subtle and neutral clothing options, turquoise wont conflict with you’re your outfit of choice. A dainty turquoise necklace would be cute and then throw on a blazer to keep the look classy.
OMG! It’s freakin’ adorable!
OMG, thanks! It’s vintage! Turquoise can be found in large statement pieces or even in small bits of cuteness. If you want to go for more of a subtle or discrete look, go for dainty, sharp, accents that can easily complement your outfit. Maybe pick a pair of small turquoise earrings or that itty-bity turquoise choker. Sometimes all you might need is a turquoise ring.
Make it pop!
Forget about matching the dress! I’m going to stand out!
Look for that big turquoise nugget necklace or those oversized earrings if you’re in the mood to show off and have all eyes on you when you walk in the room.
Screw it, I’m taking the bangle and that power ring too!
Be a badass wearing your Turquoise!
What about that massive Turquoise ring that looks so bad ass with some denim jeans, a leather jacket, a pair of aviators maybe slap on a few tattoos and maybe even a motorcycle because you just so happened to have one laying around.
The point is; fashion shouldn’t feel like it’s a routine, keep it fresh with some vintage turquoise and be creative with it. It will only accentuate your amazing characteristics.
What’s also great about Turquoise is that its known as a sacred stone that brings power, luck, and protection and sometimes we want to wear Turquoise more for its energy than for fashion alone.
Mind and spirit. Protector and bestower of goodness
Turquoise is a healer of the spirit, providing a soothing energy and bringing peace of mind. It holds both spiritual and protective property. It provides inner calmness but still enables us to stay wide-awake and ready for anything. It encourages good intuition and foresight. I like to gaze at it and feel the gem on my fingers while waiting for inspiration and ideas to form.
Turquoise makes you aware that you are really the creator of your own luck! All experiences are valid and mistakes are simply experiences.
Turquoise is good for the body and it supports the immune system. For example, it relaxes cramps and has an anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effect and it’s an excellent reminder to drink enough water.
But I like to carry turquoise on me more for the mind, and energy. Turquoise protects you from sensitivity to outside influences you can subconsciously let into your life. It is important for you to pay attention to the messages you receive from other people and what you see in the media. After all, you know what is best for you and that’s the only thing that matters. Turquoise also helps balance you with extreme fluctuations in your mood.
It’s all about the “feels”
Turquoise balances mood swings and helps remind us that the feelings and realizations we go through during premenstrual and peri-menopausal periods of your life are valid. Duh! So, we are able to act upon these feelings with grace and ease. Turquoise stimulates romantic love and helps soften our hearts, allowing us to break down those walls we put up, and heal heartbreaks.
And so does cake.
It is an excellent stone to calm yourself down if you tend to overreact to situations. It also promotes self-forgiveness, self-acceptance, helps rid us of useless regrets and encourages us to honor ourselves. So yes, today I honor myself with that “elegant and rich layered Italian dessert made with delicate ladyfinger cookies, espresso, mascarpone, rum covered in a fluffy blanket of cocoa powder.”
