Royston Turquoise Pendant
Subject #0017084
This Royston Turquoise pendant is set in recycled silver and features stone sourced from one of Nevada’s most storied mining districts. Located outside of Tonopah, the Royston district originally encompassed four historic turquoise claims: Bunker Hill, Easter Blue, Oscar Wehrend, and Royal Blue—each contributing to the legacy and diversity of Royston turquoise.
Royston turquoise is prized for its rich blue to blue-green tones and distinctive matrix patterns, often revealing the geological history of the land in which it formed. These natural inclusions create depth and character, ensuring no two stones are ever alike.
Many of the original claims in the Royston district are no longer actively producing, making each piece a finite expression of place and time. Set with intention and respect, this pendant is more than adornment—it is a preserved fragment of Western mining history, crafted to be worn, cherished, and carried forward.
