Birdseye Kingman Turquoise Pendant
Subject #0017080
This Birdseye Turquoise pendant is set in recycled silver, preserving both material and story. Birdseye turquoise is a rare formation, often compared to spiderweb turquoise, yet distinctly its own—defined by soft, light blue stone scattered with darker blue aggregations of tiny nugget-like inclusions. These natural formations create depth, movement, and a surface that feels almost alive.
The visible matrix—remnants of the stone’s original host elements—may include quartz, sandstone, or traces of metallic pyrite, each contributing subtle character and individuality. No two stones form the same, making every pendant a singular expression of time and geology.
Sourced from vintage material, this turquoise carries added significance. Many of the mines that produced Birdseye turquoise are now closed and no longer accessible, rendering each piece a finite artifact rather than a renewable resource. Set with intention and respect, this pendant is not merely adornment, but a living heirloom—meant to be worn, preserved, and passed forward.

In jewellery, turquoise carries more than colour; it carries memory. Each stone forms slowly over time, shaped by minerals and environment, making no two alike. To wear turquoise is to wear history—a reminder that beauty deepens with age, and meaning is found in what endures.
